Restructuring, Redundancy and Site Closure is something that we are familiar with at Talk HR. Often we are selected to undertake confidential work for many SME's including PLC's in supporting them when they are considering proposal to make job losses. In a difficult economic climate we have worked in partnership with the senior management, the unions and the employees in what is always a difficult situation. We were tasked with a site closure of 300 employees at an iconic clothing manufacturer to manage the communications during consultation, redundancy handling and outplacement support.

The project lasted five months and during that time we believe we brought many positive impacts in difficult circumstances. Employees continued to produce product during the period, regular training of employees for the job market which involved re-skilling in many instances. We ensured that at all times communications were clear and transparent.

Working in collaboration with third parties and our partners a settlement rate of 86% was achieved for those employees finding alternative work or training within 12 weeks of site closure.
